Bivas Tung, affectionately known as Babusona, was born on October 27, 2001, in Madhusudan Chak, Raidighi, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India, 743349. He is the son of Bidyut Kumar Tung, a dedicated rural medical practitioner, and Basanti Tung, a devoted homemaker. Bivas's family includes his grandfather, Nanigopal Tung; grandmother, Lakshirani Tung; uncle, Prodyut Tung; aunt, Kanika Tung; and cousin, Pritika Tung. Tragically, Bivas's sister, Bidisha Tung, passed away due to suicide.
Bivas's academic journey began at Narendrapur Free Primary School, where he completed his primary education in 2010. He then attended Narendrapur Milan Vidyapith (H.S.), completing his high school education in 2019. Subsequently, he pursued a Bachelor of Science (General) degree at Raidighi College under Calcutta University, graduating in 2024. Additionally, Bivas acquired specialized technical qualifications, including a Diploma in Electrocardiographic Technique (DECG) from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College & Hospital (NRSMC&H) under the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB) in 2025 and an Advanced Diploma in Computer Application (ADCA) from Nandakumarpur RNNYC under the Rabindra Nath National Youth Centre (RNNYC) in 2017.
Professionally, he is currently working as a Medical Technologist (ECG) at Kakdwip Sub-Division Hospital under the Government of West Bengal, Health & Family Welfare Department. He previously worked as a DECG Intern at NRS Medical College & Hospital (NRSMC&H) under the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB), as an ECG Technologist at Dr. Sudarsan Chakrabarti Memorial Centre, and as a Cardiology Technician at Health Plus Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd.
Beyond academics, Bivas is a talented musician and artist. He trained in tabla at Kalyan Deep Music Centre under Arya Sangeet O Sanskriti Kendra, completing 3rd year in 2015-2016. Notably, Bivas has performed on stage with his father, Bidyut Kumar Tung, and other singers in various programs. He also explored visual arts, completing 1st year in 2017-2018.
